PNE 1-1 QPR

Preston welcomed QPR to Deepdale looking to build
on friday nights impressive victory at Wolves. Preston were without
powerhouse striker Danny Dichio through injury so Simon Whaley
took up the position alongside Dave Nugent as Chris Sedgwick
came in on the right side of midfield.
Dave Nugent had the best of North End's chances in the 1st half
with a header being tipped wide by the QPR keeper, former Preston
winger and crowd favorite Gareth Ainsworth put the Londoners
in front scrambling the ball home from a dangerous corner!
Preston pushed on in the second half and got their reward late
on with Paul Mckenna heading home a cross floated in from the
left. Kelvin Wilson was stretched off with his leg strapped
up to worsen a poor day for the North End faithfull!
